1. Who owns and directs the Law Offices of James Leonard Elsman?
Elsman does, along with lawyer associates, and/or paralegals.

3. How long has Elsman been practicing?
38+ years.
4. What fields of law does Elsman practice?
Almost all fields of litigation and disputes. However, Elsman does
not regularly handle tax or bankruptcy or intellectual property matters,
for example.
5. Does Elsman handle Divorce?
Yes, if it involves defending against a Divorce, or, advising to leave
the marital home for reasons of security, etc. However, Elsman will
not actively sue for Divorce, only for Separate Maintenance, as he
is guided by Jewish-Christian law. See I Corinthians 7. He does sue
on matters of child custody and support.
6. Does Elsman handle matters outside of Michigan?
Yes. Elsman is licensed only in Michigan and before the U.S. Supreme
Court, but can engage counsel to help in other jurisdictions in the
USA or foreign countries, as Elsman has extensive international law
experience. He will travel.
7. Does Elsman ever arbitrate disputes between Christians, or
involving Christians?
Yes, he believes in the validity of I Corinthians 6 re settling disputes
between Christians without resorting to the heathen court system.
8. What does Elsman charge in fees?
No two cases are alike. Some cases can be taken on a fixed-fee. Some
on an hourly-fee. Some on a contingent-fee. Some are taken by a combination
of such fee arrangements. In-office, Hourly-fees are $300, usually.
There are no fees for initial first-contact, and prospective Clients
are encouraged to call. Fees will be confirmed in writing, so both
lawyer and client are in agreement. Costs are always the ultimate
responsibility of the client.
9. Can you get your work done cheaper elsewhere?
Probably, yes. You are paying for nearly 40 years of experience, following
a Michigan/Harvard education.
10. Does Elsman ever reduce his fee or charge nothing?
Sometimes, but not likely in your case. Such is reserved for some
cases of Constitutional free-speech Evangelism, where Elsman represents
over 100 poor, open-air preachers, plus Elsman's Bar Association volunteer
work.
11. What is the best way to contact Elsman and get him interested

truth. Do not expect to talk to Elsman on the first-call. He will

Only as time permits. The Forum should be used for primarily religious

Good question. Everyone is doing it. Maybe the Site will not be maintained,
if it does not serve God's purposes. "Friendship of the world
